(St Gallen).- Sportradar has participated in the 8th edition of the FCF - Colombian Football Federation's sports legal training course, which ended on October 15, with the purpose of developing and promoting football in all its forms
With the aim of developing and promoting football in all its forms, the Colombian Football Federation concluded on October 15, the 8th edition of the FCF Sports Legal Training Course at the Sports Headquarters in Barranquilla.
Juan Matías Mendez, Manager Integrity Partnerships for Latin America, has contributed with his expertise and that of Sportradar regarding match-fixing. He stated the following: “The fight against match-fixing is an ongoing effort that requires awareness among all those involved in sport. Our goal is to provide all football stakeholders with knowledge about match-fixing and it is an honor for Sportradar to participate again in the course organized by the FCF. We thank you for the invitation and for helping to build a safe future for football.”
The event, aimed at the presidents or legal representatives of the Professional Clubs affiliated with the Colombian Major Football Division (DIMAYOR) and the Departmental Leagues affiliated with the Colombian Amateur Football Division (DIFÚTBOL), was held with the intention of promoting legal-sports knowledge in the entities linked to the FCF.
Among the international guests from the FIFA Legal Department and from different interest groups, the presence of María Claudia Rojas, Deputy President of the FIFA Ethics Committee, Carlos Schneider, Head of Judicial Bodies at FIFA, César Chaparro, Head of the FIFA Clearing House, Héctor Navarro, Head of Regulatory, Integrity and Compliance at FIFA, Francisco Larios, Senior Counsel and Juan Matías Méndez from the monitoring company Sportradar stood out.
During the two-day training, important topics were discussed such as the latest reforms to the FIFA statutes, the Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players and the new regulatory framework for the National Dispute Resolution Chambers; as well as ethical issues, match fixing, betting and sports sponsorships.
